Transforming Bharat through Agriculture
India is an agriculture-based country where a large part of the population is directly or indirectly dependent on farming. However, due to industrialization, chemical-based farming, and overuse of machines, traditional farming methods are slowly disappearing. This has led to problems like environmental imbalance, soil degradation, and serious health issues.
At such a time, the role of the young generation becomes very important. To revive the agriculture sector and move towards sustainable development, it is essential to encourage innovation, technical skills, and an eco-friendly mindset among the youth. We need to build an inclusive and sustainable farming system that not only increases production but also protects the environment, strengthens the rural economy, and motivates youth to adopt agriculture as a respectable, profitable, and modern career.

If the energy, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit of youth is combined with sustainable farming, India can not only ensure food security but also present a green and innovative agriculture model to the world.
With this thought in mind, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) started Agrivision in the year 2015. The aim was to provide a common platform to students of agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry, fisheries, etc., where they could actively take part in solving agricultural problems, sharing policy suggestions, and promoting innovation.
Agrivision is not limited to academic learning only. It also helps in developing social awareness and entrepreneurship among students. This platform encourages students to understand how they can contribute to society through agricultural education.
So far, Agrivision has organized 8 national-level conferences along with many regional and state-level events, where thousands of students have discussed topics like sustainable farming, innovation, and agricultural policy.
Agrivision has also made a mark in the policy-making process. Several suggestions given to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the Government—like giving agriculture degrees the status of professional degrees and including 12 key points in the National Education Policy—have been accepted.
Agrivision has active units in 36 states and more than 55 agricultural universities across India. These units organize seminars, debates, educational tours, sports, and organic farming activities for the overall development of students.
Programs like the Organic Farming Awareness Internship during the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh gave students practical experience and also inspired the general public to move towards organic farming. Such initiatives encourage student participation in building a sustainable, healthy, and inclusive agricultural future.
Today, Agrivision has become a strong platform that connects agricultural education with social awareness, innovation, and nation-building in a meaningful way.
